Is the Australian visa fee refundable if refused?+
No. The visa application charge is not refunded when a visa is refused, which is why the file should be checked before it is lodged.
How do I pay the Australian visa fee from India?+
Online in ImmiAccount by credit or debit card, PayPal or UnionPay. Indian cards usually add a foreign-currency markup of 2 to 3.5 percent, so budget slightly above the converted figure.
Are there extra charges for family members?+
Yes. Most visas charge an additional applicant fee for each partner and child, and permanent skilled and partner visas add a second instalment for adult applicants without functional English. These are being added to the calculator as they are verified for 2026-27.
